Yesterday, I highlighted AMPLab and a set of projects that can be used as an alternative to Apache Hadoop (link).
Today, I’m highlighting BDAS: Berkeley Data Analytics Stack.
It includes the projects I highlighted yesterday as well as additional AMPLab projects, Apache Hadoop, and Storm.
The idea is that AMPLab projects can be used as an alternative to or in addition to Apache Hadoop. Note the addition of Storm. I’ve highlighted the potential of streaming data within the context of big data previously (link).
